Thanksgiving Break

This year, my family and i will be celebrating thanksgiving on wednesday and thursday. Wednesday with my mom's side and Thursday with my dad's side. We usually just go to my grandparents house on both sides of the family. Other than thanksgiving, i also have swim practices today, tomorrow, friday, and saturday. Then on friday, my family and i are going to my grandparents to pick out a christmas tree. Its something weve done almost every year and we will be continuing the tradition this year. Were also gonna go to the Henry Ford Museum for my next cultural event. Even though i have a busy weekend coming up, im excited that we dont have any school. I would usually have to wake up at six and now i wont have to wake up until 7:30. That's still pretty early but at least i get to sleep in an extra hour and a half. At about 8 every morning (except thanksgiving), ill have swim practice until 11. Even though its early its still cool. What im really looking forward to is the dinner. Its one of the biggest parts of thanksgiving and my family is like beastly at cooking. Basically my whole family is gonna be there and were all going out to trenton together. Its gonna be me and my family (one brother, one sister, mom, and stepdad), my cousin, aunt, and uncle, and my grandpa and his fiance sharon. Like i said before, my family is amazing at cooking, especially sharon. She makes amazing food and you cant stop her when shes in the kitchen. I cant wait until we get to eat dinner there. Anyway, even though my thanksgiving break is gonna be pretty busy this year, its still worth getting to get together for thanksgiving.

SHS Sports

This year, i plan on being on the swim team and track team here at SHS. My friends talked me into doing swimming this year and ive been a cross country/track runner for a long time. Tryouts for track don't start until early this spring but swimming starts next week. This will be my first year of swimming but ive been a swimmer for my whole life. over the summer i wanted to be apart of the swim team at burton hollow but we were way to busy so i was screwed. Anyway swimming and track are kinda similar cause they both involve endurance. even though track is on land i think my experience with track is what makes me a good swimmer. our practices are everyday except sunday and usually end at about 5. sometimes we do morning practices too. we also have practices on breaks like the christmas break coming up and thanksgiving break which is later next week. the water in the pool is also really cold because they wanna keep us moving. before swimming, i was also on the SHS tennis team which lasted through most of the summer and ended in early october.
